Arjuna Ranawana is a Sri Lankan-Canadian journalist and writer who has worked as a foreign correspondent in Sri Lanka, Pakistan, India and Malaysia for Asiaweek magazine. In Canada, he has worked at the Toronto Star newspaper as a copy editor on the international desk. Thereafter, at Rogers Broadcasting, he was a news anchor/reporter in Toronto. Later, he was the news manager for Omni in Alberta and in Toronto. He also worked at the Canadian Broadcasting Corp (CBC) as a producer in Edmonton. He is currently a freelance writer contracted to Trinity College Kandy, Sri Lanka, and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in Germany. Ranawana lives in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
